This historical landmark is a classical revival Victorian home and features a second floor room filled with memorabilia of Alben W. Barkley, Vice President under Harry Truman. It now serves as the official Welcome Center. Tours are available.

This railroad history museum contains a variety of railroad artifacts and memorabilia including lanterns, lights, books, maps, vintage telegraph and telephone equipment, and diesel control stands. Open Saturday from 10-4.

Over 80 local artists, with original works available in a wide variety of styles including oils, acrylic, watercolors, pastel, pencil, and collage, are represented at this gallery. Four new shows are presented each year at PAPA, which stands for Paducah Area Painters Alliance.  

Legendary Chief Paduke Statue

Sculptured by Lorado Taft, this sculpture honors the friendly chief of Chickasaw Indians whose name graces this city. Paducah lived and hunted in this area until the 1818 Jackson Purchase.

Museum of the American Quilter's Society

Known as the largest quilt museum in the world, this state-of-the-art museum features over 150 quilts on display as well as changing exhibits of new and antique quilts. A gift shop and book store are on site. The museum is open Monday through Saturday year round except for major holidays. Open on Sundays from April to October.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this magnificent home was once the home of Captain William Smedley and is filled with period exhibits and furnishings. Guided tours are available from 1-4 on Saturday and Sunday afternoons or by appointment.
